With over two decades of personal yoga practice and nearly a decade of teaching, I bring a wealth of experience and a holistic approach to yoga therapy. My yoga journey began over twenty years ago at a local community center, where I first discovered how the practice aided in releasing tension and stress that had accumulated in my body. At the time, I was juggling a demanding full-time job, long commutes, the challenges of motherhood, and a partner with a heavy work schedule. I felt overwhelmed and disconnected, merely going through the motions of life without truly appreciating the present moment. It was through yoga that I found a much-needed outlet for relief and began to reconnect with myself and launched into a journey of reinvigorating my mind, body, and spirit. The physical movements of yoga helped release tension, and the deep focus on breath and mindfulness allowed me to turn inward and develop a new sense of self-awareness. As I breathed and flowed with the movements, I found a sense of calm and peace that I had been longing for. The restorative nature of savasana became one of the most cherished parts of my practice, offering me the rest and renewal my body and mind desperately needed.
As my passion for yoga grew, I felt a calling to deepen my knowledge of this transformative practice. This led me to complete my 200-hour Integrative Yoga Therapy Teacher Training with Nurture Soul Therapeutics in Houston in 2016. Since then, I've expanded my knowledge with various specialized trainings, including a 65-hour Yoga Nidra certification, Reiki levels 1 & 2, an 85-hour Prenatal Yoga certification, and a Somatic Movement certification. In 2020, I began my yoga therapy training with Circle Yoga Shala in Arkansas, and in October 2024, I completed my studies through this C-IAYT-accredited school. I am currently working toward my certification as a yoga therapist (C-IAYT).
My approach to yoga and yoga therapy is grounded in the belief that each person is unique and requires an individualized approach to meet their specific needs. I work closely with my students to cultivate greater awareness of their bodies and minds, encourage healthier breathing patterns, and support them in moving in ways that are functional and sustainable. Together, we can explore and rediscover a healthier version of you—whether you are seeking relief from pain, managing stress, or simply wishing to develop a deeper connection to yourself.
Through my practice and teaching, I am committed to helping others heal, restore balance, and find peace in their bodies and minds.
Today, I practice in the greater NW Houston area, servicing communities including Tomball, Magnolia, Spring, The Woodlands, Conroe, Cypress, Katy, Hockley, and more.
